IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MANAGEMENT
Unfortunately due to fire Kawasaki Newcastle is currently not trading from our showroom, 5 Lang Road Broadmeadow.
The fire which occurred in the early hours of Monday 11th January has been deemed accidental and caused by an electrical fault that started in the office above the workshop.
Despite the fire emergency crews’ fast response and best efforts to extinguish the fire, the damage to the building and contents of our business has been quite substantial.
The building itself is unsafe due to structural damage; and the asbestos roof, which is now damaged and therefore hazardous, has rendered all stock made of fabric unsafe and unusable.
Due to the damage caused by the fire we are unable to trade at our normal business location, however in an effort to continue to service our customers we are in the process of establishing a temporary business location.
Kawasaki Newcastle will be trading from 147 Lambton Road Broadmeadow, currently Marathon Auto Centre, the car dealership next to Kawasaki Newcastle’s normal location.
Within the next few weeks Kawasaki Newcastle will be acquiring stock and infrastructure including additional portable retail space, from which to trade from. This temporary location will provide the following facilities to customers:
-
Sales: New and Used bikes
-
Spares: Genuine Kawasaki and Aftermarket Spares
-
Accessories: Both Motorcycle and Personal Apparel
-
Service: Workshop Facilities
So to re-cap Kawasaki Newcastle is not closing down. The entire team whilst devastated by this unfortunate accident are eager to come back bigger and better; to re-establish the business and positively use this turn of events to improve our service to our loyal and supportive customers.
We will start to trade again from our new temporary location right next door to our normal business premise, formally Marathon Auto Centre.
Ideally we hope to begin trading as normal in a fortnight i.e. mid February.
In the interim customers that currently have stock ordered and work booked into the workshop are our first priority and we will call you as soon as we can accommodate your needs throughout this establishment period.
I would personally like to thank on behalf of the entire Kawasaki Newcastle team everyone who have offered their well wishes and support though this difficult time.
Should you have any questions at all please contact us on 02) 4952 4955 or email to manager@kawasakinewcastle.com.au
