As part of Kawasaki's latest evolution of big bore V-Twin cruisers, the Vulcan 1700 Nomad ABS shares the same 1700cm³ single overhead cam long stroke engine with the rest of the Vulcan 1700 line, but like the flagship Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS, it's tuned to deliver maximum torque and power at a slightly higher rpm to reflect its intention for the open road.

Like the previous Nomad model, the 2010 model features hard saddlebags, passenger backrest and floorboards, large windscreen, fork mounted air deflectors, cruise control and Kawasaki's fully electronic throttle valve (ETV) system. Unlike the previous model, there's now K-ACT ABS.

	ENGINE			THROTTLE
	The all new 1,700 cm3 liquid cooled, 4-stroke V-Twin long stroke engine based on that of the Vulcan 2000 delivers significant torque and power gains..			K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking technology) ABS enables riders to execute controlled, balanced braking and ensures ideal brake force distribution to maximise braking efficiency
	CRUISE CONTROL			DRIVE
	Open highway cruising becomes even easier on the Voyager with convenient and easy to use cruise control controlled from the right handle.			Smooth and efficient belt drive uses carbon fibre as a tensile material. Slimmer than a Kevlar belt, it reduces weight and contributes to the sleek cruiser appearance.
	DISPLAY			COMFORT
	The tank mounted instrument console features a large face speedometer, LCD display and gear position indicator.			The upright riding position, sculpted seat and floorboards offer all day riding comfort. Low seat height and seat shape make it easy to reach the ground. Passenger also gets a comfortable seat with backrest and floorboards to ensure an enjoyable ride.
	STORAGE			STYLE
	Designed for easy packing, these 38 litre hard, colour matched saddlebags swallow an amazing amount of long distance gear. Kept secure with a sturdy lock, the new top opening design keeps gear inside the bags when they're opened. The large frame mounted chrome saddlebag guards emphasize the cruiser image.			The attractive LED tail light contributes to the Nomad's sleek and attractive styling.
