retail purchaser that the motorcycle shall be free from
defects in material and workmanship under normal use and
maintenance during the warranty period........
Motorcycles modified with competition based performance
parts & as described on page 4 of your Kawasaki Owner’s
Express Warranty hand book “This
warranty does not apply to repair necessitated by accident,
driver negligence, misuse, neglect, improper repair, the use
of unsuitable attachment parts,
unauthorized modification of
any kind or the use of non genuine Kawasaki parts.”
It is also clearly stated on page 3 of your Kawasaki
Owner’s Express Warranty hand book “
This express warranty is invalidated if the motorcycle
is used for competition,
racing or abnormal usage if in the sole judgment of
Kawasaki Motors Pty. Ltd. such usage adversely affects the
motorcycles performance or reliability."
Stage 1 - The 250 cc minor
Want that little bit of extra grunt without modifying your
motorcycle to the extreme.
Why not try a Carburettor response modification. What's
this I hear you ask.
Well for $250, we can make a minor modification and
re-jetting to your
carburettor which makes it respond more quickly to the twist
of the throttle, provides a little more power to climb those
hills and maintain highway speeds, and also makes your bike
more efficient allowing you to get a few more extra kilometres
out of a tank full of petrol.
Warning: It is
critical to be aware that the carburettor will need to be
rejetted after de-restriction has been completed. Warranty
claims for engine damage caused by detonation as a result of
de-restriction or incorrect engine tuning for the type of usage
of the bike will not be approved.
Stage 2 - 250 cc or 300 cc new Exhaust
Wether your KLX is still a 250 cc or a 300 cc, allow it to
breath better with OUR exclusive custom designed Exhaust
System, professionally hand built by Foran Exhausts. Price includes fitting if you purchased your KLX250 from
our store. Carburettor may require retuning after fitment but
not necessary in most cases dependant on previous
modifications performed to the motorcycle.
3 - The 300 cc
The minor 300 cc upgrade option gives you that extra power
and torque without any major modifications.
This involves the replacement of the cylinder barrel,
piston and associated parts to convert your bike from a 250 cc
to a very smooth 300 cc machine.
If you want to do the conversion yourself then you
can purchase the kit for $700.00.
Warning: The high
performance engine modification kit supplied with the
KLX250s is designed to increase the engines capacity &
overall performance and is intended for off road competition

modified machines and any unit used for competition.
2: For this high performance modification to be successful all
parts should be fitted at the same time by an authorised
Kawasaki technician using the appropriate Workshop Manual.
3: Some minor adjustments and or finetuning may be required to
carburetion and suspension setting.
4: A more frequent maintenance schedule should be adopted for
modified high performance units and this should reflect the
type of operation the unit is used.
5:Modified units may handle differently from standard units
and may require the rider to modify his/her riding technique.
